MOTORSPORT EXPOTECH: WIDESPREAD SATISFACTION AMONG THE OPERATORS AS THEY LOOK FORWARD TO THE 2013 EVENT

The international exhibition and convention on motorsports and materials, technologies, products and services for high performance vehicles has closed at ModenaFiere. Industry professionals and foreign delegations were very satisfied with the quality of the exhibitors and the high technical-scientific level of the conferences.

The fourth edition of Motorsport ExpoTech was a great success despite freezing weather and snow. Key players in the sector from Italy and abroad flocked to the stands at ModenaFiere February 2 and 3 and participated in a packed programme of conventions, presentations and awards ceremonies held one after another over the two days of the fair. “We are very satisfied with the results of this event, despite the freezing weather,” comments Paolo Fantuzzi, Chief Executive Officer of ModenaFiere. “We received many positive comments both from the exhibitors as well as from the visitors about the new business opportunities that were created among the trade show stands, especially on the Friday. And I would like to point out that the event comes at a time of great change in the automotive industry, as we approach the transition from conventional fuels to renewable energy sources. This is one of the factors that has made Motorsport Expotech so important as a key to the excellence of the Italian market on a European level, and more.” The event’s organisers were also happy with their important new partnership with ACI/CSAI, the Italian Motor Sports Commission, which sponsored the 2012 edition and organised events and awards ceremonies over the course of the two-day fair, bringing teams, trainers and professionals from all the championships to ModenaFiere. Key players in the sector had the opportunity to discuss materials, technologies, products and services linked with high performance vehicles and the future of the whole Motorsport industry, which is investing more and more in environmentally friendly energies and new non-polluting engines. The common denominator of many of the meetings and conventions was in fact the certainty that fossil fuels will disappear from motor sports competitions in future years to make way for environmentally compatible energy sources. Environmentally friendly electric engines and alternative fuels such as LPG and natural gas combining ecology with dependability and safety can withstand the stressful conditions of competition better than liquid fuels. The 5 foreign delegations which came to the fair from Great Britain, Germany, Russia, the Czech Republic and Slovakia expressed a lot of interest: the delegations were assisted by Modena Emilia Romagna Italy Empowering Agency, the Chamber of Commerce of Modena’s special company for the promotion of international commerce, which also provided a business matching service for exhibitors and visitors.
